cafe The Lounge
A local haven for the artists of Surry Hills, providing a place to
meet, hang out, show work, and perform.
You'll find cafe The Lounge at 277 Goulburn Street, Darlinghurst.
...cafe The lounge was created in August of 99, with the intention of
developing a community space. Not just to relax and be fed in, but to
be used as a venue for performance, music and art exhibitions by local
artists, actors, writers and musicians who need somewhere to display their
talents.
In cafe The Lounge you'll find talented waiting staff who are photographers,
sculptors and writers in addition to being able to make a great mocha.
And the patrons include a high number of Surry Hills local artists and
entrepeneurs who meet there to exhange ideas in an informal bohemian atmosphere.
cafe The Lounge has just commenced an entertainment program from Thursday
through to Sunday nights, involving local singers, DJ's, MC's and musicians.
If you would like to use cafe The Lounge as a venue in which to perform
please contact Jodie on Ph 9356 8888. There is an 80 person maximum capacity
and the cafe is open Tuesday to Sunday.
See you there for a mocha...
